What is the Kinetic Books Algebra I textbook?
It is a complete and comprehensive Algebra I text. It has content similar to what you would find in a traditional print textbook. The multimedia demonstration is a good place to get introduced. You can see a table of contents by unit or even more detail section by section. These may be good ways to get an overview before downloading a copy.
Can I use the product on my classroom's overhead display system?
Kinetic Books are an excellent resource for teachers with overhead displays. For instance, the activities are a great way to challenge teams of students.
What is in the print textbook?
The textbook was developed with both print and digital versions in mind. All the words and images you would see on the computer monitor are available in print. This means students can read about the essential ideas and do homework problems without a computer. The interactive and multimedia aspects are not in the printed text and require a computer.
How much does the product cost?
The Web Access license of the Algebra I digital text is $49.95. A printed version can be purchased along with digital version for an additionl $19.95. The Computer Lab license allows for the product to be installed on up to 35 computers and used by an unlimited number of students on those computers.
What are the system requirements?
Windows: 2000, XP and Vista, about 360 MB of available hard drive space, 600 MHz processor, audio highly recommended.
Macintosh: 10.2 or later, about 360 MB of available hard drive space, 600 MHz processor.
Internet connection is required for the Web Access license or to download but not run the Individual license version.
